The brief

A first-time buyer took on a terrace untouched since the 1960s and needed it safe, warm and liveable.

The challenge

A tight budget, and original tiles, cornicing and sash windows that had to stay. Opening up the walls also revealed failed lime render to the rear.

How we did it

We fixed costs up front and phased the work, putting structure and services first so finishes could follow as budget allowed. The render was replaced in lime to let the walls breathe.

The outcome

A sound, efficient house with its period features restored, delivered in phases the owner could afford.

What we delivered

  • Full rewire & new heating
  • Sash window repairs
  • Lime render & plaster
  • Two bathrooms
  • Hall tile restoration
