Website Design for Builders and Construction Companies in Lincolnshire

I'm George, a web developer based near Sleaford. I build websites for builders, construction firms and trades that show off finished projects, work properly on a phone and make it easy for the right customers to ask for a quote.

The problem

Good builders, losing work to their website

Word of mouth still matters, but most people check you out online first. These are the problems I see most often on builders' websites.

The website looks out of date

People judge a builder on their website before they ever pick up the phone. An old site with a stock photo and a list of services makes good work look average.

It's hard to use on a phone

Most people looking for a builder are searching on their phone, often in the evening. If they have to pinch and zoom to find your number, they go to the next result.

Your best work is nowhere to be seen

You've finished extensions, conversions and renovations you're proud of, but they're sitting in your camera roll. Finished projects are what win the next job.

Getting in touch takes too much effort

No clear phone number, no simple enquiry form, nowhere to send photos of the job. Every bit of friction loses you enquiries you never knew about.

What you get

A website that wins you work

A website built for your business

Designed around your trade, your area and the work you want more of. Not a template with your logo dropped in.

Project galleries and case studies

Each job gets its own page: what the customer wanted, what got in the way, how you solved it, with before, during and after photos. Filterable by extensions, renovations, conversions or whatever you do.

Contact and quote enquiry forms

A form that asks the right questions: type of project, location, timing, rough budget, with space for customers to upload photos. Enquiries land in your inbox ready to price.

Built for phones first

Tap-to-call phone number, fast-loading photos and forms that are easy to fill in with a thumb. It works just as well on a laptop.

Optional CMS, so you can update it yourself

If you'd rather add new projects and photos yourself, I can set the site up with a content management system. If not, send me the photos and I'll add them for you.

Optional add-on: customer reviews on your site

Collect reviews from happy customers with a simple link, and choose which ones appear on your website. It runs on TryTestimonials, a tool I built for exactly this. It may need a separate subscription, or it can be included in your website care plan.

How it works

From first chat to live

  1. 01

    We talk

In person or on the phone. You tell me about your business, the work you want more of and what's not working now.

  2. 02

    I quote a fixed price

Written down before any work starts. The price doesn't change unless what you're asking for does.

  3. 03

    50% up front

That books your project in. The rest is due when the site goes live.

  4. 04

    Live by an agreed date

Most sites are live within a month. You see it before it launches, and we make any changes together.

What it costs

Most projects are £800–£2,000, plus a website care plan from £50/month.

A straightforward site sits at the lower end. More pages, a large project gallery or a CMS move it towards the top. You get a fixed price before anything starts, and the website care plan covers hosting and ongoing support.

Questions

Common questions

How much does a website for a builder cost?

Most projects are £800–£2,000, plus a website care plan from £50/month that covers hosting and support. A straightforward site sits at the lower end; more pages, a large project gallery or a CMS move it towards the top. You get a fixed price in writing before anything starts. Full details are on the pricing page.

How long does it take?

Most sites are live within a month of us agreeing the work. We set the launch date together when I quote, and you see the site before it goes live.

Can I add my own project photos?

Yes, if you choose the CMS option you can add projects and photos yourself. If you'd rather not, send them over and I'll add them for you as part of your website care plan.

Will it help me show up on Google?

Every site is built with the basics search engines look for: fast pages, proper titles and descriptions, and clear pages for the services you offer and the towns you cover. That gives you a solid base to rank locally.

Can it show my Google or Checkatrade reviews?

Your site can link to your existing review profiles. As an optional add-on, TryTestimonials lets you collect reviews directly and choose which ones appear on your website.

Do you only work with builders in Sleaford?

No. I'm based near Sleaford and work with businesses across Lincolnshire, including Lincoln, Grantham, Boston and the villages in between.
