Privacy notice

Last updated 15 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information Rally Digital collects through rallydigital.uk, why, and what your rights are. Rally Digital is run by George, who is the data controller for the information described here. Rally Digital is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can contact me about anything in this notice at george@rallydigital.uk.

What I collect

  • When you send an enquiry through the form: your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to give (your business name, what you need and your message). The form also records which page you sent it from.
  • When you email me directly: your email address and whatever you include in your email.
  • When you visit the site: this site doesn't set cookies. It collects anonymous visit statistics (such as pages viewed, where visitors came from, country and device type) without cookies and without identifying you. The hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to run the site and keep it secure.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if we decide to work together, to quote for and deliver the work. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me, and taking steps you've asked for before entering into a contract.
  • To keep the site running and secure, and to understand how it's used. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

I don't sell your information, and I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without asking first.

Who handles it for me

These services process information on my behalf:

  • Web3Forms delivers enquiry form submissions to my email inbox.
  • Vercel hosts the site and provides the anonymous visit statistics.
  • My business email provider stores the emails and enquiries I receive.
  • TryTestimonials, a service I run, supplies the customer testimonials shown on some pages. Your browser loads them from trytestimonials.com, which doesn't set tracking cookies.
  • itch.ioprovides the playable game on the Out In Time page. Nothing loads from itch.io until you press play, and itch.io's own privacy policy applies to the game once it does.

Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on legal safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or approved data transfer agreements.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within two years.
  • If we work together, I keep your details for as long as the work and any ongoing support continue, and then for up to six years for tax and accounting records.

Your rights

You can ask me to give you a copy of the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, or stop using it. You can also ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere. Email george@rallydigital.ukand I'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
