Everyone here works the floor — there is no back office. Book by name if you have a favourite, or let us put you with whoever does the most of what you are after.
Owner · Colour
Nadia opened Market House and still takes the first appointment of the day. Colour is what she loves and what she is usually booked for — long foil jobs, grown-out box dye, people who have been told their hair cannot do what they want. She will give you a straight answer about whether it can.
In Tuesday to Saturday, and she keeps Thursday evenings for appointments that need the time.
Senior stylist
Jools does the short hair: crops, fades, pixies, anything that needs a razor or a clipper and a steady hand at the neckline. Equally happy with a classic barbered cut as with something sharp and asymmetric.
Will cheerfully talk you out of a fringe if the conversation suggests you are going to regret it, and will cut you one anyway if you insist.
Stylist · Curls
Priya cuts curly and coily hair dry, curl by curl, so the shape is right while you can still see it — then washes, defines and shows you how to get the same result at home with two products instead of seven.
If you have had curls cut wet and been disappointed, book a curl cut with her and bring the photos of what went wrong.
Beauty
Elin runs the beauty room at the back: brows, lash tints and lifts, waxing and nails. Quiet room, door closed, and she will tell you what a shape will actually look like on your face rather than what is in fashion this month.
Her diary fills first, so if you want a Saturday, ask two or three weeks ahead.
